Converts fossil fuel engines, motors & gensets to hydrogen gas

JiffyGas utilizes software/hardware technologies which enables CNG, LPG or H gas to power gasoline or diesel engines or gensets anywhere.

Our process, software and technology for gasoline engines does not tamper with the existing emissions controls systems or an OEM equipment but does enable the internal combustion engine to burn CNG, LPG or H or biofuels which is, of course, cleaner and lower cost than gasoline.

Specifically, we use an electronic control system installed parallel to the original gasoline injection system without tampering with OEM equipment at all.

Q: Can the driver change the fuel type from the inside of the car?
A: Yes, with the touch of one switch the driver can change the fuel type.

Q: Will the engine increase power with hydrogen gas?
A: Yes, hydrogen gas produces more engine power which is automatically adjusted by the auto-calibration software without increasing engine temperature
.

Q: What is the driver control capabilities?
A:
JiffyGas™ enables 100% or blended/enriched one-touch-switch according to driver’s on-the-go needs for either power, economy, preferred fuel supply, etc.

Q: How does JiffyGas™ control the blend/enrichment?
A: The software optimizes the ideal fuel blend for power, efficiency and/or cost.

Q: Does JiffyGas™ work with diesel yet?
A: Yes. You can run your engine diesel dedicated to CNG, LPG, LNG or H or enrich the Diesel blend with CNG, LPG, LNG or H.

Q: Does JiffyGas™ tamper with a federally approved gasoline emission control system?
A: No

Q: How does
JiffyGas™ interface with the OBD II systems? Below is a description of our JiffyGas™ software/hardware. Specifically, for the OEM ECU, JiffyGas™ ECU and OEM OBD II system:
A: The JiffyGas™ ECU calculates the injection of gaseous fuel with sophisticated software, which calculates both the original OEM ECU information and the gaseous fuel timing, injection, consumption adjustment to optimize the power and performance of the vehicle. The JiffyGas™ ECU uses a very fast microcontroller, acting as a signal processor and a “smart” controller for the gaseous fuel injectors enabling precise and instantaneous control of the gaseous fuel / air mixture at the same time at which the OEM ECU would inject gasoline fuel for each cylinder. Just as the original OEM ECU uses a computer to control the operation of the engine with gasoline, in the system of sequential injection of gaseous fuel it becomes necessary also to install a JiffyGas computer (ECU) whose function is to control the injection of gaseous fuel compliant with the OEM ECU. The JiffyGas™ ECU for the gaseous fuel should be programmed depending on the specific characteristics of each vehicle, and of its behaviour in each one of the vehicle’s loads for minimum idling, acceleration, deceleration, etc. This programming is done by the certified trained automotive service professional technician from a connected PC to the car using special software.

Q: Is an EPA or CARB certification required beyond my vehicle’s useful life?
A: No, EPA and CARB certification are not required beyond the useful life of your vehicle ( whichever comes first: 50,000 miles or 5 years http://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/uscode42/usc_sec_42_00007521----000-.html ) plus you may also add further assurances if you wish to meet government regulations for your gaseous enablement of your vehicle:

1. Update your title to reflect ‘other’ fuel under ‘Vehicle Type’;
2. Perform smog check.

Q: What are the 'best practices' for gas inspections that meet both FMVSS 571-301 and National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Pamphlet 52 criteria in the Utah Fuel System sections of both the Passenger Vehicle/Light Truck and Tractor/Trailer/Bus manuals that no vehicle shall be rejected for not having an EPA or ARB certification on their alternative fuel conversion?
A: Please see http://publicsafety.utah.gov/safetyinspections/docs/1HL2009%20Fuel%20System%20SI%20Requirements.pdf

Q: Does JiffyGas™ affect my vehicle warranty?
A: Please check with your vehicle manufacturer for warranty terms and conditions as vehicle warranties offered by the original automotive manufacturer (OEM) are not affected by the installation of an engine retrofit system, with the exception that the engine warranty for all items related directly to the retrofit system which will now be covered by the retrofit system company. The OEM’s warranty on non-engine-retrofitsystem-related items (e.g., a defective lock, leaking power steering pump) remains in force. Many OEM dealers are unfamiliar with retrofit systems and logistics, and may errantly tell customers that the “vehicle warranty” will be voided, but this is inaccurate. Courts have upheld the OEM’s non-engine-retrofit-system related warranty obligations. Most engine service issues are very similar and can be handled by the OEM dealer or local automotive service shop. These include oil changes, air filter changes etc. If and when a retrofit system-related service issue arises (e.g., a faulty injector or loose compression fitting), the retrofit company performs this work. Occasional inspection of all vehicle systems is generally good practice, regardless of fuel type. NHTSA, the federal agency with jurisdiction concerning vehicle safety, requires that all fuel storage cylinders have a label that (1) states the date of manufacture and the date that the cylinder is required to be removed from service (typically 15-20 years), and (2) instructs the vehicle owner/operator to have a qualified visual inspection of the tank every 36,000 miles or every 3 years (whichever occurs first) and/or after an accident or fire. Converters and vehicle owners should have documentation that this safety inspection has been done. Inspections are performed to look for tank and bracket damage (e.g. gouges, cuts, abrasions, dents, corrosion, rust, general wear, etc). Qualified cylinder inspectors are located throughout the US and Canada. The cost/time associated with a cylinder inspection is minimal.
